ASC Update: Trail and Poker Run Update

Hello everyone,

Mother Nature is not being kind to us.
Too much snow, not enough snow, mild temps, rain, thin ice, you name it.
You would think that 3 feet of snow on Christmas eve would be a good thing, it was not.
The ground was not frozen, so with the rain and melting snow, our trails were turned into pools of water and mud.
The heavy snowfall also brought down many trees.
A huge thank you to the following volunteers who cleared more than 250 trees off the trails.

While some lakes are progressing nicely, others have 3″ of ice or less.
So, we need some cold weather and more snow.
Keep in mind that we were staking lakes on Jan 23 last year, so this is not uncommon and things can change quickly.

Poker Run:
Preregistration is scheduled to end this Friday Jan 27 and the event is to take place on Sat. Feb 4.
The ASC executive is meeting this Thursday to determine how we are going to proceed.
