ASC Update: October 20th 2021
We have a couple of updates we want to share with you. First is the work volunteers have done on maintaining Trail 77, October 2nd and 3rd. Secondly the time for early OFSC permit renewal and ASC membership.
Trail Maintenance
The weather certainly did not cooperate for us but that was offset by a very dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers who worked most of the weekend in the rain.
A huge thank you goes out to Ron & Doug, Stephen, John & Michelle, Justin, Kent and Bruce.
Michelle, from The Farmer’s Daughter in Huntsville, even made some amazing sandwiches for everyone.
(Let’s support those businesses that support us. Thank you Michelle)
Trail 77 was in very poor shape with several large trees down.
77 is finished but we could not do 78 as it was impassable due to water.
We also made a new turn around on D101B at the bottom of Oxtongue Lake for the South Creek Bridge re-route.
We spent all day Sunday brushing D101B north of Hwy 60.
It was badly overgrown but we were able to clear 2 KM of trail.
73 South was also very bad with trees down but that has now been cleared.
Keeping our trails open is a huge job, so once again, thank you to these volunteers !

OFSC Permit and ASC Membership
Just a friendly reminder to get your OFSC trail permits before they go up in price on Nov 2/21.They are currently $195.
It’s also time to consider renewing your ASC membership.
This can be done on our website at algonquinsnowmobileclub.ca or send us an e-transfer to algonquin@gmail.com
Unlike OFSC permits, ALL of this funding goes directly to ASC.
While we always need volunteers to help maintain our nearly 200km of trails, your support here also goes a long way.
You can choose the $10 annual membership, the $100 lifetime household membership or a $10 donation to the club.
Thank you for your support and see you on the trails soon!!!
