We Need Some Help on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 9:30am

We need some urgent help to preserve the Landowner’s permission for a very important part of our Trail system. I’m sure most of you have taken Lake of Bays from Dorset to Dwight when its safe. The small landmass that is crossed from Haystack Bay across back to LOB is a critical part of this. Over the years we have done many things on the landmass to contain sleds to the Trail but some tend to veer off onto other parts of the Landowners property causing many issues and could lead to closing this trail all together. This would force sleds around the large part of LOB which takes a long time to freeze up safely and we would not stake this which would lead to no safe access to go from Dorset to Dwight on LOB.

The Landowner is offering the material if we install it to prevent sleds from going off the marked Trail. We need some help to install snow fence and signs on the landmass to contain the sleds.

We need some help on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 9:30. The location by road is Hwy 35 to Foxpoint Rd. about 3kms south of Hwy 60. Take Foxpoint Rd. about 2kms then turn right onto Port Cunnington Rd. to just past Lake of Bays Marina (formally Haystack Bay Marina) 1170 Port Cunnington Rd. at Thompson Portage Rd. Dress for the weather conditions and bring your favorite pair of pliers/cutters.
